Profiling the opportunities in the Maritime Sector in Trinidad and Tobago
The Trinidad and Tobago maritime sector was built principally on servicing the local energy industry and growing non-energy transshipment trade. The sector has also developed competitive ancillary sub-sectors in bunkering, marine construction and ship repair. With the expansion of the Panama Canal the opportunity exists for capturing a greater proportion of the transshipment trade, as well as, developing viable and competitive maritime clusters in:

Demonstration of the seaiTT Mobile App, in this video CARIRI explores the exciting features of the seaiTT Mobile App. On November 6th 2020, the Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA) proudly launched Trinidad and Tobago's first ever environmental mobile app. The seaiTT mobile app was developed by CARIRI for the IMA as part of an integrated marine environmental monitoring platform.
The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute(CARIRI) is a multifaceted organisation with over 50 years of industry experience offering services to the Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Energy, Tourism and Hospitality, Construction, Creative Industries and ICT sectors.
